Speed Kills, yes but you cant run forever

Well its no secret that the Eagles got faster this offseason (see DeSean Jackson, Lorenzo Booker, Quentin Demps, Etc.) it almost seems that now a days the only thing they didn't do is switch to turf. It can be said that the Eagles now can be called one of the NFLs fastest teams but i ask you what did that really fix. Why yes we now have 2 more players just as capable of running the screen as Brain Westbrook but that isn't the only thing to run from. If you take a look down the division you see that speed RUSHERS are almost as common as mormons on the Eagles but don't worry we can just run around them. Look I know your not buying this and to tell you neither am I but I also didn't by Gocong last year or McNabb when he 1st came in (I can't say i do). But after all all we can do is nit-pick a FO that gave us nothing but its okay. You can always tell how your teams gonna do by how the Vets respond to it and right now they don't look so hot. Im not gonna lie they could have done better this offseason but thats what I said about the Phillies.

MOCK. pre draft Wed.

FRANK BROOKESí 2008 NFL MOCK DRAFT

UPDATE: 4/23/08

1. Miami Dolphins

MIA- Jake Long, OT, Michigan

The thing is that the Tuna and most of the Dolphins staff really wanted to trade this pick but in the modern era of football it is too expensive to trade up to this pick let alone pay the huge salary demanded by the 1st overall pick. Anyway now to pick. Jake Long is most likely the safest pick in this draft he can plug in at LT allowing the Dolphins to move Vernon Carey around on the line. Bill Parcels often likes to sign his picks before he drafts them and Long and the Dolphins are already under discussion.(And he also signed with them)

2. St. Louis Rams

STL- Chris Long, DE, Virginia

With the only OT worth a top 2 pick is off the board the Rams switch there pick to their next biggest need at the D-line. Last years 1st round pick of Adam Carricker and additional picks to help out the DTs they take the best DE on the board, they could also consider Vernon Gholston from Ohio St. but I believe that Chris Long is the better DE in this draft of the two.

3. Atlanta Falcons

ATL- Glen Dorsey, DT, LSU

The Falcons have 3 needs that can be addressed with this pick in, OT, DT, and QB. One could rule out the choice of an OT because Jake Long is off the board. At this point this pick will be between two players Glen Dorsey and Matt Ryan. This will be a long hard war room in Atlanta but with this draft being deeper at QB the Falcons take Dorsey and look to take a QB in the 2nd round or move back in to the late first round. Possible 2nd round QBs include Brian Brohm, Joe Flacco, or Chad Henne.

4. Oakland Raiders

OAK- Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio St.

Now I know that the pass on McFadden is hard to understand but I truly believe that they have really strong plans for Justin Fargass. While Al Davis might have the temptation to take the speed home-run hitting RB they take the smarter pick. It appears that the Raiders back field is set with Justin Fargass, LaMont Jordon, Domenick Rhodes, and Michael Bush and McFadden isnít really needed. In my opinion Gholston has the most upside of any player in this years draft class and will make a great improvement for the Radiers, however it will be hard to make Al Davis not pick McFadden.

5. Kansas City Cheifs

  KC- Matt Ryan, QB, BC

The Chiefs really have one glaring need for the 2008 NFL draft and that is O-line. However with the trade of Jared Allen giving the Cheifs a extra 1st round pick they can afford not to reach on Clady, Williams or Albert and wait to later. So what they do is go BPA while the Cheifs QB situation might be okay in an interview recently Herm Edwards said that he wouldní t be against taking Ryan so they go BPA here with Ryan and can wait on there Tackle.

6. New York Jets

NYJ- Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas

Well he really just dropped into their laps here. I know that the Jets have invested money in Thomas Jones but they canít pass up this playmaker in McFadden. He has had some off the field issues and that might be a problem in a city like New York. However if they can get past that they have all the nessissary people around to make McFadden a success with Allen Fanaca, Nick Mangold, DeBrickashaw Furgason, and Thomas Jones .

7. New England Patriots

NE- Ryan Clady, OT Boise St.

The Patriots lost a huge piece of there secondary in the í08 offseason. After losing Randal Gay and Asante Sammuel. So the way I see it is that why that is the biggest need of the team why would they pay a rookie CB Asante Sammuel type money for potential. They address the need on there O-Line after Clady falls from KC.

8. Baltimore Ravens

BAL- Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy

While unable to have Matt Ryan drop to them at pick 8 the Ravens address a position of need with the best CB in this years class. McKelvin not only provides youth to an aging Ravens secondary but also skils in the return game.

9. Cincinnati Bengals

CIN- Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC

This team is starting to unravel. They went from a play off team to a team with the 9th overall pick in the draft. The Bengals take the best player at a position of need and more importantly a good character guy. They get a great addition to the D-Line in Ellis.

10. New Orleans Saints

NO- Keith Rivers, LB, USC

The Saints have two needs that can be addressed here at this pick CB and LB. Both have possible selections and both could be used however I see the Saints secondary more addressed than there LB core and because this is a thinner draft at LB than CB I feel that the Saints have to go Rivers here.

11. Buffalo Bills

BUF-Domenic Rodgers Cromartie, CB, TSU

DRC really came on after this Senior Bowl game and a great Combine. He has gotten some comparisons to his cousin and is soaring up draft boards. He is a great future playmaker and fills a need for the Bills They could also consider a WR but I donít see a WR in this years class worth this high of a pick so they go with the pick at another need.

12. Denver Broncos

DEN- Chris Williams, OT, Vandy

  With the retirement of Matt

Lepsis the Broncos now have a need at OT. The player they truly want is the DT from USC Sedrick Ellis but they will most likely need to trade up to get him. They will consider Otah and Brandin Albert but they take the more mobile tackle in Williams who is better adapted to fit the zone blocking in Denver.

13. Carolina Panthers

CAR- Derick Harvey, DE, Florida

With Williams of the board they look to the Defense to find a pass rusher along side Julis Peppers. While Derick Harvey falls the Panthers canít resist pick him over Williams due to the value he provides over Williams at pick 13 and they have room to look at a OT in the Second.

14. Chicago Bears

CHI Jeff Otah, OT, Pitt

While ReShard Mendenhall is a possibility here I fell that Otah is to hard to pass up . Chicago is a ways away from there NFC champion apperance and that starts up front with the O-Line. Otah is a big bruiser that can be pluged in and play for the next 12 years at RT or LT.

15. Detroit Lions

DET- ReShard Mendenhall, RB, Ill.

The Lions made cuts, trades, and let FAís go to clean out there backfield. When Mendenhall falls to them they have no choise but to take the RB. While CB is a problem they cant pass up the chance to get there back of the future.

16. Arizona Cardinals

ARZ- Mike Jenkins, CB, UCF

The Cardinals desperately need a CB. They are lacking in depth and the move of Antrell Rolle to Safety didnít help them at CB either. They could also look to go OT or RB here but with the top players at most positions there gone they take the best CB avaible at the biggest position of need in Jenkins.

17. Kansas City Cheifs

KC- Brandon Albert, OG/OT, Virginia

KC made there trade with Min to get this pick and boy did it pay off. I know that other mockers have Albert rated higher than this but I doní t see a point in picking in potential to play LT. Anyway KC lands there man at #17 to give them a more soild line, where ever he plays.

18. Houston Texans

HOU- Aquib Tailb, CB, Kansas

What this team needs again is a OT. However I donít think this is where they go. They can look to Albert or reach for Chillerus but this team also needs a CB. Tailb is a talent that is better than the #18 pick however he falls due to his problems with marijuana. They take Tailb to bolster there secondary and give back up to Daunta Robinson.

19. Philadelphia Eagles

PHI- Devin Thomas, WR, Mich ST.

The Eagles donít pick WRs in the 1st, I know, but this year is werid. The Eagles have two needs more than WR and that is getting a LT and a CB/S but there isnít one worthy of this pick. With Long, Clady, Williams, Otah, Albert, DRC, Mckelvin, Talib, and Jenkins all gone they have to take the BPA. BPA here is Thomas it provides a good weapon for McNabb and also maybe Phillys 1st #1 WR in a while. They could consider BC Gosder Chilerus and Miaís Kenny Phillips but it is to high of a pick for each.

20. Tampa Bay Bucceners

TB- DeSean Jackson, WR, Cal

Jackson would serve as the replacement for Joey Galloway and also as a force in the return game. He is a perfect fit in the Bucs offence because he can take a short pass and turn it in to a long gain.

21. Washington Redskins

.WSH- Calais Campbell, DE, Mia(FL)

The Redskins take a huge 6í8íí DE out of Miami. He will help along side Andre Carter to give this team a pass rush. This is a pick of a raw freak in size and will play for years to come. They could consider a WR here but I think Campbell has too much value at this pick.

22. Dallas Cowboys

DAL- Felix Jones, RB, Ark.

While trying to trade up the Cowboys get a back in Jones to take over for where Julis Jones left off. And Jerry Jones gets his back after failing to get McFadden.

23. Pittsburg Steelers

PI T- Ghoster Chillerus, OT, BC

While Ben is calling for a big WR it appears that they have a bigger need at OT. They could take Limas Sweed or reach on James Hardy but they just have too many holes in there line and need to take the best OT on the board in Chillerus.

24. Tennessee Titans

TEN- Limas Sweed, WR , Texas

Sweed could be a higher pick in this draft but because of a wrist injury he falls to Tennessee. Vince Young Has never had a true #1 WR and he could have some chemistry with a fellow Longhorn teammate. They could consider DE but the offer to pick there 3rd Longhorn in the 1st round the last 3 years is to good to pass up.

25. Seattle Seahawks

SEA- Jonathan Stewart , RB, Oregon

I know that they just signed Julis Jones and TJ Duckett however a toe injury makes Stewart fall and he is to good of a back to pass up. They could consider Fred Davis but he is a reach.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars

J AC- Phillip Merling, DE, Clemson

They lost McCary and Stroud in free agency and have a glaring need at D-line. Due to a surgery Merling Drops to the bottom of the round however the Jags find great value here in Merling whom will play DE.

27. San Deigo Chargers

SD- Kentwan Balmer, DT, UNC

This team has few problems but can look to add depth behind Luis Castello. Balmer has perfect value for a pick here. They could also consider a OT but Chillrus is gone by this point.

28. Dallas Cowboys

DAL- Malcome Kelly, WR, Oak

The Cowboys got Pacman Jones to fill the need in the secondary and look to there next need at WR. Malcome Kelly provides youth and a weapon along side T.O. and Terry Gleen is Dallas.

29. San Francisco 49ers

SF- Quentin Groves, DE, Auburn

After taking care of there WRs in FA the 49ers take a great pass rusher to play along side Justin Smith. Groves stock will not be hurt by his heart condition and why the 49ers wish they had a higher pick they will settle with the trades they made and they take the best pure pass rusher in the draft

30. Green Bay Pckers

GB-Brandon Flowers, CB, VT

If not for bad measurables I am not sure if Flowers falls this far. He has great ball skills and can step in as a nickel CB and will provide a replacement for Al Harris and Charles Woodson.

31. SPYGATE

NE- Forfeit, due to violation of league rules

 Cheaters

32. New York Giants

NYG Ė Kenny Phillips, S, Mia

The Giants lost two of their starting LBs and a Saftey in the 2008 Free Agency period. They take the BPA here in Phillips who fills a big need.

MOCK 3.0

FRANK BROOKESí 2008 NFL MOCK DRAFT

They would prefer to have Jake Long here but if he isnít they will take the next best one in Clady who they most likely will trade down to get. Not to mention what LJ does with a few good lineman for a change (i.e. Will Shields and Willie Roaf)

6. New York Jets

NYJ- Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas

Well he really just dropped into their laps here. I know that the Jets have invested money in Thomas Jones but they canít pass up this playmaker in McFadden. However if they can get past that they have all the nessissary people around to make McFadden a success with Allen Fanaca, Nick Mangold, DeBrickashaw Furgason, and Thomas Jones .

7. New England Patriots

NE- Leodis McKlevin, CB, Troy

The Patriots lost a huge piece of there secondary in the í08 offseason. After losing Randal Gay and Asante Sammuel they take what I see as the best CB in the draft and a player that can also help out in the return game. They could also go LB, DE, and OT with this pick but I see that CB is there most glaring need and they can get the best one at the position here.

8. Baltimore Ravens

BAL- Matt Ryan, QB, BC

The closest thing to a franchise QB as you can get in a rookie. The Ravens could get a QB via a trade but it looks like they are running out of options and if they donít find a trade this is where they go. Ryan will take over the starting QB job and can give Ravens fans a true starting franchise QB.

NO- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, TSU

DRC really came on after this Senior Bowl game and a great Combine. He has gotten some comparisons to his cousin and is soaring up draft boards. He is a great future playmaker and fills a need for the Saints. They could also consider LB Keith Rivers here but I believe CB is a bigger need.

11. Buffalo Bills

BUF-Devin Thomas, WR, Michigan St.

Thomas has one flaw in that he was only a one year wonder at Michigan State. However he has proven himself to be the top WR in this Draft Class. The Bills get the drafts best WR to fill a position of need and a playmaker to help out Trent Edwards and MaShawn Lynch.

12. Denver Broncos

DEN- Jeff Otah, OT, Pitt

With the retirement of Matt Lepsis the Broncos now have a need at OT. The player they truly want is the DT from USC Sedrick Ellis but they will most likely need to trade up to get him. They will consider Chris Williams and Brandin Albert but they take the big man in Otah.

13. Carolina Panthers

CAR- Chris Williams, OT, Vandy

Panthers tackle Travelle Wharton was brought back but it looks like he will move inside to play guard. This leaves a whole at LT where they will take the best LT on the board in Williams. They could consider RB Reshard Mendenhall but they take the OT.

14. Chicago Bears

CHI ReShard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois

In his year trying to prove himself as a starting RB in the NFL Cedrick Benson proved him self to be a bust. They have a few holes at RB and OT that can be addressed here. However there isnít an OT worth picking in the 14th spot and they take the local guy to be the future starter in Chicago.

15. Detroit Lions

DET- Keith Rivers, LB, USC

With Mendenhall gone they Lions move on to there next needs in LB and DE. This pick could be Derick Harvey but I donít see him as being that high of a pick. I know that other mockers have Harvey highly rated but I donít see him as a top 15 pick and they take Rivers who is a much better player after he slides to no. 15. Rivers will provide a sideline to sideline defender for years to come.

17. Minnesota Vikings

MIN-Derick Harvey, DE, FL

By signing Berrian and Madeu Williams the Vikes took care of a major needs in free agency. Now they address there other problem in pass rush with the stud out of Florida. Harvey is the obvious pick here being he is the BPA at the teams biggest position of need.

PHI- Branden Albert, OG, Virginia

The Eagles might have a more glaring need at WR but simply this organization will not take a WR in the 1st rd. Now on to the pick. The Eagles two current starting OTs in Tra Thomas and John Runyan are 33 and 34 years old respectively and also both in the finial years of there contracts. Winston Justice has proven that he can play at the RT spot but not the LT spot. Albert is a Guard but has shown the ability to move out and play OT which is something that he will have to do to replace Tra Thomas in 2009.

20. Tampa Bay Bucceners

TB- DeSean Jackson, WR, Cal

Jackson would serve as the replacement for Joey Galloway and also as a force in the return game. He is a perfect fit in the Bucs offence because he can take a short pass and turn it in to a long gain.

21. Washington Redskins

.WSH- Calais Campbell, DE, Mia(FL)

25. Seattle Seahawks

DAL- Kenny Phillips, S, Miami

The Cowboys have two needs in CB and Safety. Phillips will be able to fill a need to replace Ken Hamlin and also maybe help out at CB. They could consider a WR here but I donít believe that Malcome Kelly has enough stock to be in the 1st round any more.

History Repeats its Self????

I'm sure you all know the very much over-used saying of history repeats its self and if there is one thing to learn its that in the Andy Reid area this saying is very, very true. But this isn't an Eagles history class, with all respect past players, its about what this team is going to do to bring the "insert S.B. word" to Philly.

One thing I noticed last year after the draft of Kevin Kolb is that he didn't come as out of the blue as most of us thought. Last year after over 9 hours of ESPN trying to see the Eagles make a selection I was very disappointed to hear Kevin Kolb's name called. However after realizing that I can only write about his team, not control it I did my home work on this guy. The first thing I do is open my Eagles Insider any read what they thought would be the Eagles 1st round picks and there were names like, Bowe and Merriweather, but when I turned the page I was surprised to see Kevin Kolb.

So why did I just make you read that last paragraph? Simple the Magazine published by the Eagles them selves mentioned a future player in Kolb so all i'm saying is keep an eye on how the Eagles profile as they kicked off there scouting report today with Jr. CB from Kansas Aquib Talib. Im not saying the Eagles will pick Talib but raither consider it.

Lastly I haven't changed my man on who I think is #1 on there big board its LT Chris Williams from Vanderbilt. While one years history could repeat it self I'll take my chances on Reid being Reid again. Thats what they don't teach you in history, unless you read my blog in class.

Thoughts and such on the Eagles in 23 days

Lito-O-O-o-O-o, wow remember that Monday Night Football game two years back vs. Carolina. I'll give you a fresh up. Well us, meaning Eagles fans, are giving up on another year of football in this city were below, .500 McNabb is done for the year, and We just got embarrassed on national T.V. with the Colts, or should I say Joseph Addai, beating us down. But like true Eagles fans we still walk into the Linc every week to be there for our boys in Midnightgreen. So what to do right we kind of rally behind Jeff Garcia but the Panthers are making a possible game winning drive down the field. With little time on the clock who steps up none other than Lito "shuffle" Sheppard. Jake Delhome over throws Keyshawn Johnson in the endzone and who is there for the pick none other than Lito. I can still remember his left foot landing in bounds and the stadium breaking out into in cheers.

That was my best memory of Lito Sheppard as an Eagle but now with the signing of Asante Samuel it seems that Lito will be out the door. But for what would we trade our Cowboy Killer? you might ask well Im here to let you know what I know.

Well i'd like to tell you that the Eagles are going to make a play on Chad Johnson, Aquan Boldin, or Roy Williams but I would be lying to you. They tried to push him but no offers for a WR as I know now. It looks like Lito will be the Eagles biggest chip to move up in the draft and get the player they want. Who? Right now it seems to be Chris Williams the Left Tackle from Vanderbilt. Now I know you fans want a WR but the thing is that Tra, or William, Thomas and John Runyan are to be 33 and 34 respectively. Now if we take a WR the line would have Winson Justice at Left Tackle, Could you take an entire season of that Gaints game? Also to add fuel to the fire Tra and Runyan are both to be free agents next year.

Ill leave you with this the Eagles want Chris Williams the Left Tackle from Vanderbilt, but will have to trade up to get him, in which they will use there CB Lito Sheppard to do>

The Mock

Mock

Frankís 2008 NFL Mock Draft

Update: 3/15/08

1st round

1) MIA- Chris Long, DE, Virginia

Once again I start of by saying Miami will consider trading this pick. Glen Dorseyís health has been a big question mark and how he will hold up in the N.F.L. is a concern. Bill Parcels has made great progress in stiffing up the D-line this offseason with additions Chris Long makes a stud DE to play against Jason Taylor and a revamped Dolphins team. Also the Ďfins must consider Matt Ryan but I believe that John Beck is truly a good QB that hasnít had a team to shine around.

2) STL- Glen Dorsey, DT, LSU

Now I know I said that Dorsey has dropped in his draft status but not that much. Heíll fall one spot to the Rams and quickly help put the run defense and pass-rush of the rams, and who knows maybe heíll show the Dolphins they messed up.

3) ATL- Jake Long, OT, Mich.

While the Falcons need a franchise QB they have a more glaring need. While they could consider Matt Ryan with the 3rd over all pick they have no LT on there roster and as we have seen in past drafts franchises have usually take a lineman in the 1st rd. (i.e. Joe Thomas drafted instead of Brady Quinn by the Browns last year) There are other QBís that Atlanta can find in the drafts later rounds.

 4) OAK- Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio St.

Now I know that the pass on McFadden is hard to understand but I truly believe that they have really strong plans for Justin Fargass. While Al Davis might have the temptation to take the speed home-run hitting RB they take the smarter pick. In my opinion Gholston has the most upside of any player in this years draft class and will make a great improvement for the Radiers.

 5) KC- Ryan Clady, OT, BC

The Chiefs really have one glaring need for the 2008 NFL draft and that is O-line. The way to fix it is bring in a new wave of god young linemen. They would prefer to have Jake Long here but if he isnít they will take the next best one in Clady who they could trade down to get. Not to mention what LJ does with a few good lineman for a change (i.e. Will Shields and Willie Roaf)

 6) NYJ- Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas

Well he really just dropped into their laps here. I know that the Jets have invested money in Thomas Jones but they canít pass up this playmaker in McFadden. I donít think his off the field issues will be problem and the question mark about being an every down back can be taken away by a rotation with Thomas Jones.

7) NE- Leodis McKlevin, CB, Troy

The Patriots lost a huge piece of there secondary in the í08 offseason. After losing Gay and Sammuel they take what I see as the best CB in the draft and a player that can also help out in the return game.

 8) BAL- Matt Ryan, QB, BC

The closest thing to a franchise QB as you can get in a rookie. The Ravens could get a QB this offseason but it looks like they are running out of options and if they donít this is where they go.

9) CIN- Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC

This team is great on offense there real problem is there Defense, see their first game vs. the Browns. They get a great addition to the D-Line in Ellis.

 10) NO- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, TSU

DRC really came on after this Senior Bowl game and a great Combine. He has gotten some comparisons to his cousin and is soaring up draft boards. He is a great future playmaker and fills a need for the Saints.

 11) BUF- Limas Sweed, WR, Tex

The Bills need to establish a good WR core for young Trent Edwards. Now while questions about his wrist I still see him as the best WR in this years class.

12) DEN- Keith Rivers, LB, USC

While Denver is always a good rushing team they struggles in stopping it last year. Keith Rivers, known as the shark at USC, will provide a good sideline to sideline player.

 13) CAR- Chris Williams, OT, Vandy

Panthers tackle Travelle Wharton was brought back but it looks like he will move inside to play guard. This leaves a whole at LT where they will take the best LT on the board in Williams.

 14) CHI Brain Brohm, QB, Louis.

While the Bears have O-line issues they canít afford to pass up a QB here. I know they also re-signed Grossman but that was only to a one year deal. They could draft Brohm and bring him in mid-season to take over for the future.

15) DET- Reshard Mendenhall, RB, ILL

After cutting Kevin Jones the Lions want to make it very clear that they want t fix the run game that hasnít been right since the days of Barry Sanders. They take the best back still on the

board at 15.

16) ARZ- Aquib Talib, CB, Kansas

With Antrel Rolle moving to safety the Cards have a whole at CB. While they might be able to trade for Lito Sheppard they will take the best CB available.

17) MIN-Derick Harvey, DE, FL

By signing Berrian the Vikes took care of a major problem in free agency. Now they address there other problem in pass rush with the stud out of Florida.

 18) HOU- Jeff Otah, OT, Pitt

Another year and the Texans still have line trouble, surprise. They take the best tackle off the board in Otah.

19) PHI- Kenny Phillips, S, Mia(FL)

While the Eagles really want a Tackle to replace Thomas and Runyan there simply not a god enough one worth the #19 pick. The Eagles get the safety they wanted from last year when they missed out on in Brandon Merriweather.

20) TB-DeSean Jackson, WR, Cal.

What he lacks in size he makes up for in speed. Jackson will provide a vertical threat, god return help, and a replacement or Joey Galloway.

21) WSH- Calais Campbell, DE, Mia(FL)

The Redskins take a huge 6í8íí DE out of Miami. He will help along side Andre Carter to give this team a pass rush.

22) DAL- Devin Thomas, WR, MS

The Cowboys need a weapon along side T.O. they get in Thomas.

23) PIT- Branden Albert, OG, Virginia

Pittsburgh is in need of any and all good OL this offseason. I know that Big Ben asked for a tall reciver and Limas Sweed could fit the bill here but if they take him Ben will be sacked way to often to even get the ball to Sweed.

24) TEN-Malcome Kelly, WR, Oak

Vince Young gets first weapon. Problems with his speed but still a great WR.

25) SEA- Ghoster Chillerus, OT, BC

Walter Jones is getting older and the Seahawks lock up his replacement here.

.

26) JAC- Phillip Merling, DE, Clemson

A soild DE off the edge to give the Jags one of the best D-lines in all of football.

27) SD- Jonathan Stewart, RB, Ore

He takes a slide due to some FA signings and his toe but the Chargers go with the best player there that can take over for what Truner did.

28) DAL- Felix Jones, RB, Ark.

While trying to trade up the Cowboys steal in getting Jones at 28. And Jerry Jones gets his back after failing to get McFadden.

29) SF- Quentin Groves, DE, Auburn

After taking care of there WRs in FA the 49ers take a great pass rusher to play along side Justin Smith.

30) GB- Mike Jenkins, CB, USF

While the Pack have a great starting two CB tandem they need depth and Jenkins provides it.

31) NE- Forfeit, due to violation of league rules

32) N YG Ė Dan Connor, LB, Penn. St.

In the playoffs depth at the LB position was lacking Connor fills the need. Also helps with there two LB losses in FA.
